Zakat al-Fitr | The finest finale to the greatest month

The month of Ramadan is the month of goodness in which good deeds multiply, so we feed the food, help the needy where he needs and as he needs it, wipe the hair of the orphan, seek the need of widows and the needy.

Then comes Zakat al-Fitr, the best way to conclude the month of goodness, we end the month with it because of its impact on those who give it and those who take it at the same time, and because of its impact on human relations in the same society.. For this effect, Zakat al-Fitr took on its high importance in our Islamic religion. .

Zakat al-Fitr.. When and how?

Zakat al-Fitr is an obligatory zakat for Muslims, to be paid before the Eid al-Fitr prayer, or before the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. A Saa’ of dates, or a Saa’ of barley is to be paid to the slave and the free, male and female, young and old among the Muslims.”

This is with regard to whom zakat al-fitr is obligatory. As for those to whom it is given, and to whom it is permissible for us to give zakat al-fitr, it is given to the poor and needy, and they are those who do not have enough for them on the day of Eid, according to the hadith of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, “The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, imposed Zakat al-Fitr is a purification for the fasting person from idle talk and obscenity, and food for the poor.” [Abu Dawud]

Zakat al-Fitr.. Why?

Zakat al-Fitr was imposed on the Muslim because of the purification and purification of the soul, as it purifies the fasting person from idleness and obscenity, as stated in the previous hadith. May their Eid be better off and happier.

For the poor and needy who deserve it, it is a lifeline that they await at the end of the holy month, so it will be for them a support and a reason for happiness in the days of Eid that the old and the young eagerly await.

Zakat al-Fitr.. How does Wejdan help you pay it?

Wejdan Association provides you with the path that delivers Zakat Al-Fitr from you to the most needy people.. How is that?

Because the places in which Wejdan provides its services are the most in need in our Arab region, in places of crises that have recurred in recent years.. in northern Syria, Palestine, and Yemen where the humanitarian conditions are the worst, and where the need to receive zakat al-fitr from you has the highest rate..

These are areas where people live in very difficult humanitarian and economic conditions, which prevent them and their children from feeling stability and financial and psychological security, and of course it hinders their feeling of the joy of Eid and the special days.

Therefore, the arrival of Zakat al-Fitr through the Wijdan Association from you to them will be a reason for their happiness, and a helping factor for them to feel that they, like other people, are living the special days during the year in the best condition that they can live in.

And as the beloved Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said: “The most beloved of people to God is the one who is most helpful to people, and the most beloved of deeds to God, the Mighty and Majestic, is the pleasure that you bring to a Muslim, relieve him of distress, pay off his debt, or ward off his hunger, and because I walk with a brother in need. It is dearer to me than to spend a month in this mosque, meaning the Medina mosque…) Narrated by al-Tabarani

Zakat al-Fitr combines all good things for you in this honorable hadith because of what it contains of benefit to people, not any people, but rather they are the most in need, and because it brings pleasure to a Muslim, his children and his entire family, and in days when he is in dire need of pleasure and happiness, as well as for what is in it. Zakat al-Fitr is a means of relieving distress, expelling hunger, and fulfilling a need for those with whom we share human equality of high value.
